Orthotics

Orthotics are special shoe or heel inserts a doctor prescribes that are custom-made specifically for you. A foot specialist or a Podiatrist can diagnose if you require orthotics. These are usually a part of a comprehensive treatment plan if you are experiencing pain in your feet, leg, knees, hips, lower back, and other joints. Feet are the foundation of our bodies and it is absolutely essential for our well-being that they function well and are pain free. Many people unfortunately choose to live with the pain but that is not necessary as there are treatments like custom orthotics that are available.

Why choose custom Orthotics?
Orthotics can be part of the treatment for the following:

  • correcting foot deformities
  • helping the foot or ankle function better
  • providing support to the ankle
  • reducing the risks for further injuries

A Podiatrist will do a thorough examination of your feet, looking for areas of pain and any possible deformities. An examination of the gait, or the way a person walks is also done apart from a scan of the feet to get to the root of the problem. After the analysis of the foot, a custom cast is formed which ensures a perfect fit for your foot. We also offer orthotic shoes with the insoles, if required.
How will Orthotics help me? Orthotics can help relieve pain in the joints, legs, knees. They can also be prescribed to treat the following conditions:

  • Arthritis
  • Back Pain
  • Bunions
  • Bursitis
  • Diabetes
  • Flat Feet
  • Hammer Toes
  • Heel Spurs
  • High Arches
  • Injuries
  • Plantar Fasciitis

Living with pain is not necessary no matter what the reason. We can help you determine whether Orthotics are the right solution for your pain. Come in for a consultation today.

How long does it take for treatment to start showing results? The results vary from person to person and also on the severity of the condition. However, Orthotics can provide almost immediate relief from pain and with the comprehensive treatment plan, the pain can completely disappear over time.
